Calendar change BC 2016, Mont St Guibert is cancelled
The Belgian Inters Motocross Championship is undergoing an important calendar change. AMC Dworp was unable to obtain permission from the site owner to organize on July 17 at its new location, near the Kesterheide. So we had to look for a new date and that was no easy task due to the full MXGP calendar. After all, from 24/7 to 2/10 there is a Grand Prix or BK Inters competition every weekend.
It was considered to move the match to October 9, but this option was also rejected because several GP teams are obliged to participate in a new Youthstream event in the stadium of the German football team Schalke04.
Finally, the possibility of switching dates with the Belgian Championship competition in Mont-Saint-Guibert was studied. However, RMC Pierreux could not find a solution with the owner of the sand quarry, who had already rented out several weekends in June for the organization of 4×4 demos and will close the entire quarry in July due to the construction holiday.
Ultimately, RMC Pierreux and AMC Dworp mutually agreed to hold the match in Kester on September 18. RMC Pierreux retains its organization in the Shanks quarry but changes its competition programme. A regional FMWB/FPCNA motocross competition will be organized on Saturday, September 17, and a BMB RMT (endurance off-road) competition on Sunday, September 18. An official Belgian RMT Championship can thus be held because the calendar now consists of 3 eligible races: 08/05 Saint-Sauveur, 10/7 Nismes and 18/9 Mont-Saint-Guibert
The Belgian Inters Motocross Championship will now consist of 4 races: 20/03 Moerbeke-Waas; 15/08 Bales ; 21/08 Orp-le-Grand and 18/09 Kester
