Ben Townley will definitely start in MXGP of Qatar
Team Suzuki World MXGP rider Ben Townley is set to start in the opening race of the 2016 MXGP World Championship in Qatar at the end of this month. There were fears for a while about his participation due to a knee injury he sustained during the international competition in Valance, France.
Ben Townley : “I twisted my knee in the Super Final and it didn't feel so good and I decided to leave the race immediately. After a small check-up, I was advised to give my body some rest and not to drive for a few days. Normally I get back on the bike on Monday and Tuesday to prepare for the MXGP of Qatar. I've been preparing for nine months now. I'm looking forward to the start of the season and I just want to race. I have no expectations… Stefan and I discuss this a lot but I have my personal goal and that is to get a really good start and then just be myself while riding so that I can build on that.”
