Chad Reed and Cooper Webb win in Sydney
Chad Reed flew home last weekend for a match on home soil. James Stewart was also originally announced for the SX in Sydney, but he had to cancel this event due to (at first no sense) an injury he sustained in Lille. Cooper Webb, who rode several races around the world this fall, in turn traveled to Australia to compete with Reed. As the icing on the cake, Reed also managed to convince Ricky Carmichael for a comeback. He challenged RC to a 1-round 1-on-3 match, which the GOAT happily accepted.
The first night was won by Reed ahead of his compatriots Gavin Faith and Dan Reardan, Cooper Webb came fourth.
The second evening was won by Webb who, after an exciting match, defeated Reed to the finish. Third place went to Lawson Bopping
The CR22-RC4 shootout went to Reed on both nights. Below is a video of the second match between the two SX legends
