Aranda continues to win in German supercross!
Last weekend the Munich supercross was on the program, and some of the best supercross in Europe were again at the start in the Olympiapark. But also from far beyond, they could also count on the participation of some fast Americans.
On Friday evening we already had one of these Americans as winner, Ben Lamay on the Meyer Racing Yamaha managed to win the final ahead of reigning champion and championship leader Gregory Aranda. The Frenchman in turn managed to keep ahead of the Czech Filip Neugebauer. Then a whole pack of Americans followed, Nick Wey came 4th, Jace Owen 5th and Jeff Alessi 6th. On Saturday it was back to Gregory Aranda to party. With this victory he also crowns himself king of Munich after a perfect weekend in Stuttgart last week. Jace Owen came second on Saturday and therefore also second in the weekend rankings. Ben Lamay, who had won on Friday, had to settle for 12th place in the final on Saturday. He is still on the podium in the Olympiapark.
In the SX2 class it was Paul Coates who was very dominant on Friday, winning both finals, and on Saturday he had to settle for third place twice. Yet the British Monster Energy Pfeil Kawasaki Elf team rider wins the Prince of Munich title. Just like last week, the Spaniards did well again in the SX2 class, with Iker Larranaga Olano taking the podium in second and Carlos-Fernandez Macanas in third.
