American Jace Owen manages to stop Aranda!
Another ADAC SX cup competition was on the program in Chemnitz last weekend. The season was in its third test of the four and this time it was not the Frenchman Gregory Aranda who took home the biggest trophy, but the American Jace Owen.
It is on Friday evening that we see that Gregory Aranda can also make a mistake, in the main event he made a costly mistake and only crossed the finish line in fifth place. It was an American party at the front, as Austin Politelli managed to win the final on his Yamaha ahead of Jace Owen and Ben Lamay. In fourth place we got the first non-American, namely the Frenchman Thomas Ramette.
On Saturday evening it was clear that Aranda wanted to correct his mistake from the previous evening. He goes on a rampage like crazy and can take the victory almost unthreatened. Second again is Jace Owen, these 2 second places are enough for him to crown himself king of Chemnitz. Ben Lamay also managed to take third place again, taking third place overall. Austin Politelli, who won on Friday, did not score on Saturday.
The Spanish party was broken in the SX2 class. The French talent Yannis Irsuti managed to win 3 of the 4 main events and in the fourth main event he finished third, which was clearly enough for a great victory. In second place we had Canadian Kade Walker, who performed a bit irregularly throughout the weekend but managed to win the fourth main event. Britain's Paul Coates finished third overall.
