Ken De Dycker certainly wants to drive Grand Prix for another two years!!!
Ken De Dycker has announced that he wants to stay in the FIM World Championship for another two years and is therefore looking for a good deal to stay in the MXGP. Discussions with the Rockstar Energy Suzuki MXGP team are also reportedly on the agenda. The 31-year-old de Dycker returned to the international arena last weekend during the Motocross of Nations, where he helped achieve the results that also put Belgium on the podium for the eighth consecutive time in this competition for national teams.
This was perhaps his last appearance for the Red Bull KTM team for the former Grand Prix winner on three different brands, although he wants to continue riding for the Austrians until he finds another employer for 2016. “This was the last big race for KTM, but I still want to do some small competitions and some beach races, but I will have to ask first if that is still possible,” he said during the MXON in Ernée. “I have to wait and see what comes out of it, so I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do next year.”
De Dycker also expressed his desire to continue until he was thirty-three and with moments of impressive speed during the 69th Motocross of Nations he hopes to have a chance of winning another good contract. He already rode Honda and then Suzuki, Yamaha and KTM at Factory level. With Steven Frossard apparently not yet certain of a full recovery from his back injury, De Dycker may well become an option for the Suzuki Team based in Lommel and there is currently no fit rider available for the 2016 testing.
