EMX250: Lars van Berkel pulls the curtain!
In the EMX250, we saw the real sand bunnies rising to the top. Sand hares from the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden competed for the win. The Belgians did their utmost but were never able to compete for victory. This was mainly due to the poor performance of Damon Graulus. The Kemea Yamaha pilot only scored three points in a Grand Prix from which he expected a lot, for various reasons.
For Lars van Berkel, who, according to 'Kees de Omroeper' is the Dutch Villopoto', the weekend went extremely well. The Kawasaki pilot started at the front in the first moto, but he still had to recognize his superiority in Thomas Kjer Olsen. But in the second heat he proved to be the fastest on the tough Limburg sand circuit, by climbing from seventeenth place to first place.
Overall, this 2-1 score put him ahead of Thomas Kjer Olsen who scored a third place in the second moto and ahead of Alvin Östlund who earned this third place overall with a fourth and second place.
