Yamaha has its affairs in order for 2016.
The Japanese brand has three very strong teams on their motorcycles: KEMEA, Standing Construct and the Yamaha Rinaldi team. All three teams also work hard and that produces results. Standing Construct is fully participating in the battle for the world title in the MX2 class with Valentin Guillod and things are looking more than good for Romain Febvre, who seems to be on his way to the world title in the MXGP class.
For 2016, the blue gentlemen will continue on the path they have taken. So will Yamaha Rinaldi reportedly getting back the support of Monster Energy. They continue to rely on the Italian team for the driver line-up Jeremy Van Horebeek who recently extended his contract for a year and on Romain Febvre.
The Standing Construction The team in turn announced yesterday that it would continue with Valentin Guillod. The Swiss will switch from the MX2 class to the MXGP class within the team. A mandatory switch due to the age rule that applies in the MX2 class. The MX2 line-up of the Belgian team will consist of our compatriot Julien Lieber and the Russian Alexandr Tonkov. Although official news about the latter will have to wait until the Wilvo Negaan Jacky Martens team officially releases the Russian.
The other Belgian Yamaha team, REFUSE Yamaha invested in the future not so long ago Brent Van Doninck extendable for three years. A good choice because we heard left and right that privateers had certainly been spotted on the coast. In addition to Brent, the promising Frenchman will Benoit Paturel are still up to Complete 2016 current contract.
