Jake Nicholls back at the start in Uddevalla
Wilvo Forkrent KTM rider Jake Nicholls will make his return appearance this weekend in Uddevalla. Nicholls, who has been on the podium several times in the MX2 in the past, has just completed a tough rehabilitation after suffering a double arm fracture during a preseason race in Lacappelle Marival.
At the end of 2014, 25-year-old Nicholls came close to the top 10 until a horror crash in the English Championship ended his season. Now, almost 1 year after his last GP, Nicholls had to patiently follow the doctors' advice so that he could get to the start fit. He previously started a few matches in England but has now decided that he is ready for the big jobs.
“ I feel like I have a new wrist and I'm leaving for Sweden with the aim of scoring some points and making progress. My level is quite low now due to being out for so long, but I feel fit and am looking forward to starting again in the MXGPs.”
The arrival of Nicholls certainly cannot hurt, because with the absence of Nagl, De Dycker, Goncalves and Desalle, the starting field gradually emptied.
