EMX250: Damon Graulus takes victory in Latvia
Kemea Yamaha Racing rider Damon Graulus has won the seventh round of the European Championship in the EMX250 in Kegums, Latvia. Our compatriot needed a series victory and a fourth place in the second series to take the victory. This was Graulus' first overall victory of the season in the EMX250 class.
In the standings with only two races left, Damon Graulus has now moved from fourth to second place, fifteen points behind the leader in the standings Nick Kouwenberg. The Dutchman did not get further than third and fifth place in the series in Latvia and thus had to give up seven points to Graulus. Who fared even worse on the Kegums circuit were numbers two and three in the EMX250 standings after the race in Sweden. The Frenchman Maxime Desprey, winner in Sweden last week, could not even get a single point and the British Adam Sterry even dropped out of a series in Latvia. With two races to go in the sand of Lommel and Assen, it looks like it will be a duel between the lowlanders Kouwenberg-Graulus for the title in the EMX250 class.
