Marvin Musquin and Justin Barcia best mud devils in Budds Creek
After a weekend of rest we got round six of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in Budds Creeks. But the Budds Creek Motocross Park in Mechanicsville, Maryland was quickly transformed into a true Mud Race due to the excessive rainfall and even the second series in the 450 Class had to be postponed due to the severe weather. Still, races were able to be completed normally and we got Marvin Musquin (250) and Justin Barcia (450) as the best mud devils in Budds Creek.
250 class
In the 250 Class, the victory surprisingly went to standings leader Marvin Musquin. After a bad start, the Frenchman crashed again with Adam Cianciarulo and was only finished seventh. In the second series, the Red Bull KTM rider recovered and rode to victory, which also gave him the overall victory in Budds Creeks. Second place went to Alex Martin who won the first heat ahead of Jeremy Martin who stalled his engine and had to leave the victory to his brother. In the second series, Alex Martin only finished seventh and he still had to leave the overall victory to Musquin because the second series was the deciding factor in the final score. In the standings, Musquin is even a few points ahead of Jeremy Martin, the difference is now ten points in favor of the Frenchman.

JGR Yamaha Team's Justin Barcia was the top mud devil at the Budds Creek track in the 450 Class. In the first series, the Yamaha rider took third place behind winners Dungey and Pourcel, but in the second series, which started with some delay, he rode resolutely to the series victory and also took the day's victory. By the way, it was his very first 450 National win of his career. Second place went to Rockstart Husqvarna rider Christophe Pourcel. The Frenchman took second and third place in the series and narrowly missed out on the day's victory. Ryan Dungey, who won the first moto convincingly, crashed after the start in the second moto and would eventually finish twelfth. Ken Roczen already started sick and did not get further than fifth and fourth place. In the standings, Ryan Dungey still has a nice lead of 37 points over Ken Roczen.
