Jeffrey Dewulf wins Axel II, Mark Boot fastest MX2
The penultimate Belgian National in the sand was one that will not soon be forgotten. The circuit of the RES Axel foundation was very heavy, which of course suited the sand hares in the BMB group!
In Inters MX1 class we saw that Jeffrey Dewulf again went very well. It seemed as if there were no problems for him and his Jaxstore Yamaha and he led both heats from start to finish. Marvin Van Daele managed to finish second in both rounds, but in the second round it was almost “easy”, but in the first round he had to deal with ex GP riders, the Finn Santtu Tianen en Nick Trieste. Tianen managed to finish third and Triest fourth. Unfortunately, the second heat was quickly over for the 24MX supported Tianen, after about 4 meters his engine broke down and he lost a good day's ranking. Triest also had a more difficult time in the second heat than in the first. That's how it is Mike Vanderstraeten who is on the podium thanks to regularity and a 6-3 score.
In MX2 we saw a similar scenario, there was absolutely nothing to be done against the home driver Mark Boat and he won both heats by force majeure. For second place we had a duel in both heats Dylan Verleysen en Jordi van de Wiele. In the first moto it was Verleysen who came out on top, but he who laughs last laughs, Van de Wiele managed to park his bike in second place in the second moto and thus takes second place in the daily rankings. . Verleysen is then logically third.
