Guillod and Cairoli on pole position in Matterley Basin
Valentin Guillod (Standing construct Yamaha) and Antonio Cairoli (KTM) won their qualifying race today in Matterley Basin.
Valentin Guillod pulled off a masterful final lap to pass Jordi Tixier for the win in the end. Jeffrey Herlings, who started together with these riders, could not keep up the pace (or took it easy) and came in third by a wide distance. His teammate Pauls Jonass and Tim Gasjer rounded out the top 5. Julien Lieber was the first compatriot in twelfth place, followed by Jens Getteman. Kevin Fors finished 16th.
