No Strijbos in Matterley Basin
Kevin Strijbos made his return appearance in competition last Thursday. The Suzuki Rockstar Energy pilot did this in the third round of the ONK, held on the beautiful course of Rhenen. As if he had never left, 'The Kid' won both heats in the Netherlands and a successful comeback in the Grand Prix seemed to be written in the stars. However, this was somewhat premature. Because on Sunday in Kevin Strijbos' home game in Wuustwezel, we again received alarming signals from him.
The race day was ended prematurely after a victory in the first heat. His starting gate remained empty for the second heat due to pain in his thumb. However, this injury now appears to have put a damper on the planned comeback in the Grand Prix competitions. For example, Kevin Strijbos will not be able to participate during the Grand Prix of Great Britain in Matterley Basin. It remains to be seen whether the French Grand Prix, which takes place only 7 days later, will be feasible for the man from Wuustwezel.
