Jeffrey Herlings takes sixth GP victory in Valkenswaard
Jeffrey Herlings has managed to win the Grand Prix at the Valkenswaard Eurocircuit for the sixth time. Herlings is simply unbeatable on this sandy track and has won every round in which he started since 2010. This means that he started twelve times and also finished first twelve times, meaning he has already won the Grand Prix six times in a row.
Jeffrey Herlings Part I
It was Aleksandr Tonkov who took the holeshot ahead of Tixier and Herlings. But in the opening round Jeffrey Herlings took over command and then we immediately know the rest of the story in the first series. In the first round we already lost his teammate Pauls Jonass due to a spectacular fall that immediately forced him to retire. For second place we had a duel between Tixier and Anstie that was settled in favor of the Brit. Ferrandis in turn dealt with Tonkov for fourth place and Brain Bogers drove a controlled race and took sixth place. Julien Lieber was our best compatriot with seventh place and Brent Van Doninck just finished in the top ten. Jens Getteman started well in eighth but crashed once and would eventually finish twelfth. Finally, Kevin Fors took two more World Cup points. So in short, Jeffrey Herlings was simply outstanding and won this first series with almost 45 seconds ahead of his closest competitors.

Jeffrey Herlings Part II
The holeshot in the second series was again for Husqvarna rider Aleksandr Tonkov who preceded Jonass and Guillod. Jens Getteman even came out as number five and Jeffrey Herlings was in eighth place. The winner of the first series quickly moved up to fourth place, but in the third lap he made a mistake and dropped back to eighth place. But that was not a problem for Herlings because before halfway through the race he was already happily in the lead again. So we had to look forward to second place, where Tonkov, Tixier and Jonass were in a battle with each other. But in the end it was Tonkov who came out ahead of Tixier and Guillod. Jeffrey Herlings got into trouble for a while, but there was no reason to panic and he also completed this second series with flying colors. What about our Belgians… Jens Getteman started well and rounded it off nicely with an eighth place. Just behind Getteman we immediately got our second compatriot with Brent Van Doninck who finished ninth. Julien Lieber came in fifteenth and Kevin Fors fell just outside the points.
