Bobryshev and Herlings win Qualifying Races in Trentino
Today we had the Qualifying Races for the fourth round of the FIM World Championship in Trentino, Italy. In the MX2 class it was Jeffrey Herlings who won the Qaulifying Race without too many problems ahead of Tim Gajser and Jordi Tixier. Jens Getteman qualified as the best compatriot with eighth place and Brent Van Doninck fell just outside the top ten with eleventh place. Julien Lieber, who had missed his start, finished fifteenth and we got Kevin Fors in twenty-third place.
In the MXGP, the Russian Evgeny Bobryshev took the win, after Antonio Cairoli, Gautier Paulin and Ryan Villopoto had made mistakes. This put the HRC rider in the lead and won this Qualifying Race MXGP. Bobryshev was already the fastest rider in the MXGP class all day and confirmed this again in this Qualifying Race. This was the very first Pole he took in his GP career.
Our compatriots also had a lot of problems during this qualifying series. For example, current World Cup leader Clement Desalle had a difficult start and crashed together with Tyla Rattray. Ultimately, Desalle would only finish twenty-second. But Jeremy Van Horebeek also worked a bit too impetuously and only finished nineteenth. Our best representative was now Ken De Dijcker who started sixteenth and rose nicely to eighth place. Hopefully our compatriots can turn the tide tomorrow and fight for victory in the Grand Prix of Trentino.
