Max Nagl takes GP victory in Argentina
After the opening Grand Prix in Qatar, Max Nagl has now also won the GP in Argentina. This means that the Ice One Husqvarna rider has already won two of the three Grand Prix races. Clement Desalle seemed well on his way to winning the GP, but he still had to recognize the German's superiority. However, our compatriot continues to hold the lead in the standings after three games and is now ten points ahead of the Nagl-Cairoli duo.
Clement Desalle keeps everything under control…
Clement Desalle was therefore able to win the first series in a very controlling manner. He had world champion Antonio Cairoli on his trail for almost the entire series. The difference was always less than three seconds between these two riders. Around halfway through the race, Cairoli briefly passed Desalle, but Cairoli immediately responded and regained the lead a hundred meters further on. So we had to look forward to the last round when Cairoli would attack again. Cairoli went on the attack in the last round, but made a mistake himself and even crashed spectacularly. The pressure immediately disappeared for Desalle and he rode to victory in the first series. Cairoli was just able to stay out of the clutches of third man Max Nagl who in turn preceded Ryan Villopoto. Fifth and sixth place went to the Honda duo Evgeny Bobryshev and Gauthier Paulin. Jeremy Van Horebeek was in fifth place until he crashed on the fifth lap and ultimately finished ninth. Finally, Ken De Dijcker finished twelfth, which was two places ahead of our northern neighbor Glenn Coldenhoff.

Nagl wins and also takes the GP victory…
Max Nagl took the holeshot ahead of Clement Desalle and Antonio Cairoli, but it was our compatriot Desalle who immediately took the lead, just like in the opening series. Cairoli placed second ahead of Max Nagl, but the German did not have much patience and overtook the world champion in the second lap. Desalle was allowed to hold the lead for six laps and then had to give in to the pushy Max Nagl. Meanwhile, Villopoto was also attacking Cairoli's position. But the world champion opened the throttle a little further and even passed Desalle into second place. The American Kawasaki rider was in turn visited by the Yamaha boys Van Horebeek and Febvre. So we were going to see some exciting final laps with Nagl, Cairoli, Desalle, Villopoto and Van Horebeek within a handful of seconds. Yet we saw no more changes at the finish and Ice One Husqvarna rider Max Nagl took his second Grand Prix victory of the season. Clement Desalle misses out on the win, but remains the leader in the standings. Finally, we got the Dutchman Glenn Coldenhoff in eighth place and Ken De Dijcker fell just outside the top ten in eleventh place.
