Dylan Ferrandis wins the MX2 GP of Argentina
Frenchman Dylan Ferrandis has won the third match of the World Championship in Patagonia, Argentina. Ferrandis won the first series and only needed a second place in the revival to win his very first Grand Prix of his career. What about Jeffrey Herlings then... the Red Bull KTM rider had to retire in the first series after a fall, but then convincingly won the second series. Herlings and Ferrandis are now jointly in the lead in the standings.
Ferrandis wins, Herlings falls…
The holeshot in the first series was for Jeremy Seewer ahead of Adam Sterry and Dylan Ferrandis. Jeffrey Herlings did not get away well behind the starting gate and therefore had to make every effort immediately. But already in the first lap, this Herlings crashed very spectacularly and even with a bent handlebar, had to immediately stop the fight. So Herlings was out of the race and that was immediately the signal for his teammate Pauls Jonass to take the lead. Jonass immediately got Kawasaki rider Dylan Ferrandis on his wheel. This duel lasted four laps and then Ferrandis took over the lead and rode unthreatened to victory in this first series ahead of Pauls Jonass. As in the previous two GPs, Julien Lieber was in a good position at the start and would also complete this with a good fourth place. Brent Van Doninck, who also made a good debut, was in twelfth place after the start and yet finished in ninth place. Jens Getteman was in twelfth place after three laps when he crashed and then drove towards the riders' park a few laps later.

Herlings wins, Ferrandis takes GP victory…
As expected, Jeffrey Herlings controlled the second series. Aleksandr Tonkov was still allowed to take the holeshot, but then it was Herlings who dictated the law. So we had to look forward to Pauls Jonass and Dylan Ferrandis for the GP win. Jonass, Herlings' Red Bull KTM teammate, was immediately in second place in the wheel of his leader. Dylan Ferrandis, on the other hand, crashed briefly when he was in third place and had to work his way back up from ninth place. But with six laps to go he passed Jonass quite easily into second place. With this second place behind Herlings, Ferrandis had enough for his very first Grand Prix victory of his career. Our best compatriot was now Jens Getteman with tenth place in this second series. Unfortunately, there were no World Cup points for Julien Lieber and Brent Van Doninck. Julien Lieber missed his start and had another hard crash, which meant he had to return to the riders' park with a bent motorcycle. But Brent Van Doninck also had some bad luck when he finished in ninth place. The Kemea Yamaha pilot was forced to return to the pits due to problems with the front engine and unfortunately disappeared from the race.
