Preview BMB Lommel!
Tough opener for the BK points
For the second time in history, the Mikkola team can organize the opener of the motocross season. If they opted for the Reusel circuit last time, they will now go to the Lommel GP circuit. Since the opener is particularly late this time, BK points will also be awarded in Lommel and the Inters will compete for the challenger trophy.
Novelties
Year after year, the BMB continues to evolve and this year there are again numerous changes, with the introduction of a full 125 cc class being particularly striking. Just like in France and the Netherlands, the best 125 cc two-strokes compete together in one series. The Beloften and the Nationals 125 cc can immediately become an attraction in Lommel for the young promises with names like Iago Geerts, Cyril Enjoyment, home rider Matthias Van Roy, the Brit Bradley Cox and a lot of other ambitious young lions. The MX2 will also receive extra attention this year because the Inters and the Nationals MX2 are running a joint series, allowing the young pilots to ride with the lighter engines during rush hour. Traditionally, a lot of Scandinavian and Dutch riders are at the start in Lommel to start their championship season. The name of No Fear Honda pilot is mentioned Marc De Reuver In addition, it is also something to look forward to Thomas Olsen en Sam Korneliussen. In which class home pilot Yentel martens will start has not yet been determined, but he will certainly be the pilot to beat in his own backyard.
The Nationals MX1 normally ride together with the Inters MX1, but due to the registration of several foreign riders, the organization decided to send the Inters separately to the circuit in Lommel. The first test of the thirteen competitions for the well-funded challenger trophy is scheduled for the Heeserbergen. The casual riders can also participate because they also get the opportunity to ride two series on the GP circuit.
Training on Saturday
The frequently heard criticism of the training series being too short to set a time is being resolved in Lommel by introducing training sessions per category on Saturdays to ensure safety. The obstacles are manned with signalers and each category can train three times twenty minutes free on Saturday for the cost of 10 euros. Registration takes place in the canteen and the mandatory chrono training sessions are scheduled on Sunday.
Hole shot premium
An extra sponsor is provided for all first series MX477 provides a holeshot premium of no less than 100 euros per series. This must be collected on the same day at the MX477 stand, which increases the prize pool by no less than 800 euros.
Timing
On Saturday you can enter the riders' park from 10 a.m. and the training sessions start at 12 p.m. so that the Houben company still has enough time in the evening to level the track again for the opening race on Sunday where the chrono sessions start from 08 a.m. Registration for the races also takes place in the canteen on Saturday evening and Sunday morning. The entrance fee was kept economically low at 12 Euro.
