Red Bull KTM at the party in Arlington
So it was Red Bull KTM that led the way in the seventh round of the AMA Supercross Championship. Both Ryan Dungey (SX450) and Marvin Musquin (SX250) were masters in their class. The Red Bull KTM teammates led every lap in their 450 and 250 Main Events. So it was a very successful Valentine's Day with the reward that they will be at the start together with the “Red Plate” in Atlanta next weekend.
Supercross 450
Standings leader Ryan Dungey took the holeshot in Arlington ahead of Millsaps, Grant, Baggett and Roczen. Josh Grant immediately lost a few places while Roczen dealt with Baggett to move into third place. Eli Tomac had not gotten off to a good start and was on Chad Reed's wheel for seventh place. Tomac dived inside the corner near Reed, who was immediately thrown off balance by this block pass and thus fell. At the front it was still Ryan Dungey who kept a very tight pace and we had to look forward to numbers two and three. Davi Millsaps was able to hold second place for about five laps, but then had to let Ken Roczen pass on the sixth lap. Less than a lap later, Millsaps made another big mistake and Trey Canard, who just managed to avoid him, took third place. As a result, the top three places were already just before halfway through the race. At the front, Ryan Dungey drove the perfect race after his holeshot and his closest pursuers Roczen and Canard did not immediately have an appropriate response. So Dungey rode to his second victory of the season with a start-finish victory and beat his two direct competitors in the battle for the AMA Supercross title.

Lites 250
In Arlington we also immediately had the first test for the East Coast Lites riders. The victory went to Red Bull KTM rider Marvin Musqiun. The Frenchman grabbed the holeshot and was firmly in the lead until the red flag was shown when seven laps still had to be completed. The race was stopped due to a heavy fall by Kyle Cunningham, which fortunately was not serious. So the restart did not faze Musquin and he won this opening test of the East Coast Lites very convincingly ahead of Justin Bogle and Joey Savatgy. The Swiss Arnaud Tonus, who competes for the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki in the States, took a good eighth place in the very first supercross at the lites.
