Paulin had a good training in the mud of Valence
The International Motocross of Valence was a real typical European winter cross, the circuit that had been transformed into a real mud puddle due to the enormous rainfall and the chilly temperatures made it difficult for the five factory teams present. Among them was the HRC team with Gautier Paulin who was in only his second race on the CRF450RW. The winner of the Motocross of Nations finished fifth in the final standings and had a good training session in the mud pit of Valence.
“The Honda is a new bike for me and for the team I am also a new rider, so we have to be able to test in these conditions,” he said. “In some GPs we can also get a lot of rain with deep ruts in the circuit, these are some of those things that we can encounter. This was good training for me and nothing else.”
Paulin is therefore expected this season to continue developing the CRF together with Sporting Manager Jean-Michel Bayle, which won the penultimate MXGP in Brazil in 2014 with Max Nagl and finished second in Mexico. The Frenchman already won a series in Sardinia (Internazionali D'Italia) at the beginning of the month, but people still expect a lot from this Honda star who won the Qatar Grand Prix in Losail in 2014. His teammate Evgeny Bobryshev will compete this weekend during the International Starcross in Mantova. This will be the last match for all teams before traveling to Doha-Qatar next Wednesday or Thursday.
