Could Simpson finally score in the Weston Beach Race?!
In our interview after the Belgian Championships in Orp-Le-Grand with Shaun Simpson, we asked the Scot what he was going to do after Orp. He told us that he had to go to Foxhill and therefore had to miss the last BC, and he also mentioned that the Weston Beach Race was now a real goal for him this year. Because he said, after a few second places, I have to work hard to win some. So today we had to wait to see whether the sympathetic Shaun Simpson could put an end to his 'black beast' today.
The British MX1 Champion started and performed an impressive one-man show in Weston! No one could even come close to the Hitachi Construction KTM UK pilot. At the finish, this resulted in the fact that everyone except Ben Watson had to give up at least one lap to the unleashed British sand bunny!
