Josh Hill also rides 24MX Supercross!
Josh Hill is the latest name to be added to the impressive starting list for the first ever 24MX Supercross in Stockholm, Sweden on October 11. The Leading Edge Kawasaki/C4MX rider is by no means the only American with a name and fame. Supercross Lites champion Jason Anderson, Weston Peick, Vince Friese, Mike Alessi, Shane McElrath and Nick Schmidt previously committed.
The 24MX Supercross will be held on an authentic SX track that will be constructed in the Tele2 Arena in the dimensions that the AMA toppers are used to. A challenge that is tailor-made for the 25-year-old Hill. Josh has the flow and technique that makes even the toughest SX courses look easy! Although he was out with an injury for a long time after his terrible crash during his preparation for the X Games in 2010, Hill is now returning to his best form.
Last season he finished 8th in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross championship, despite missing three rounds. His podium finish in New Jersey, the penultimate round of the championship, brought his total to 11 AMA Supercross podiums (9 in the 450 class, 2 in the Lites).
The older brother of KTM factory rider Justin was best known for his 2008 SX victory in Minneapolis when he beat Ryan Dungey and Kevin Windham. Yet Hill still has the speed and talent to make life difficult for the best supercrossers in the world. Last year he managed to take silver during the X Games MotoX competition! Will Josh Hill be the surprise of the 24MX Supercross?
Josh Hill: “Normally I would have been there a few years ago in Gothenburg for the supercross there, but that was ultimately canceled. Now the time has finally come with 24MX SX in Stockholm. I'm really looking forward to going to Sweden and giving the audience a good show!”
