Max Anstie wins Belgian MX2 GP
The Englishman Max Anstie was able to win his very first Grand Prix of his career in the Lommel sandbox. With a first and second place in the heats, Anstie was clearly the strongest of the weekend. Second place went to Jordi Tixier, who made up 45 points behind the injured Jeffrey Herlings. The difference between the two Red Bull KTM riders is now 57 points with two races to go.
Max Anstie from start to finish…
It was Max Anstie who took the holeshot in this first series ahead of Febvre, Jonass and
Tixier. Anstie immediately took off after the start and Pauls Jonass settled in second ahead of Ferrandis and Tixier. Romain Febvre had some difficulty in the opening round and dropped to sixth place. But Jonass was also unable to hold on to second place and saw duo Ferrandis and Tixier pass. Just over halfway through the race, the places in the top five seemed to be almost taken. Max Anstie continued to race undisturbed at the front and Tixier was in a duel with Ferrandis for second place. With 5 minutes of racing left, Febvre gave the impression that he was going to close for second place, but still had to settle for fourth place. Coldenhoff and Jonass followed at some distance from Febvre for fifth place. Anstie won unthreatened with a start-finish victory in this first series ahead of Ferrandis, Tixier and Febvre. Pauls Jonass took fifth place from the Dutchman Coldenhoff in the last two laps.

Tixier took the series victory and Anstie the Grand Prix victory…
Jordi Tixier took the holeshot in this second series ahead of Febvre and Butron. The winner of the first series Max Anstie was also just in the top ten. At the front, Febvre immediately attacked Tixier's leading position and it was Max Anstie who settled into third place after four laps. We therefore had a nice foursome at the front with Tixier, Febvre, Anstie and Ferrandis who did not give up on each other. Romain Febvre was the first to drop out and had to let both Anstie and Ferrandis go first. Anstie immediately went looking for the leader in the race Jordi Tixier. The Englishman put pressure on the Frenchman but crashed with five minutes to go and lost touch with the leader. Tixier won this second series ahead of Max Anstie, who also took his very first Grand Prix victory of his career. Third place went to Dylan Ferrandis who was still able to keep Romain Febvre behind him.
