Italy dominates the Motocross of European Nations in Pacov
Italy dominated the Motocross of European Nations today in Pacov, Czech Republic. In both the EMX categories and the women's category, the Italian team was the best in the tough mud competition.
The Netherlands gave the Italians a strong defense with series victories by Roan van de Moosdijk (85cc) and Brian Bogers (EMX2/125cc), but overall the Italian team with Furbetta, Facchetti, Cervellin and Lugana was slightly stronger than the Dutch, who came second in the final standings. France finished third on the podium ahead of home country the Czech Republic and Slovenia.

Among the women, World Champion Kiara Fontanesi dominated both matches. Nancy Van de Ven finished second and third, but could not bring the Netherlands onto the podium. Second place went to France with Lancelot and Charroux. Germany with Laier and Papenmeier came third. The Netherlands with Van de Ven and Veenstra finished fourth.
