Dungey and Pourcel win Unadilla National!!!
Ryan Dungey and Christophe Pourcel won the tenth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship in Unadilla. Dungey already took his fourth win in the 450 Class this season. For Frenchman Christophe Pourcel it was his first of the season in the 250 Class.
450 class
Ryan Dungey was able to make a big impact on the track in Unadilla. With a series victory and a second place, he immediately took the overall victory, but he also regained many points in the race for the National title. Ken Roczen, on the other hand, certainly had to recognize his superiors in Unadilla in Ryan Dungey. The German finished second in the first series, but in the repeat he did not get further than fourth place. In the championship standings, Roczen sees his lead shrink by half. The difference between the two Red Bull KTM boys is now only seven points in favor of Ken Roczen.
Another strong performer in Unadilla was Muscle Milk Honda rider Trey Canard, who was able to take the series victory in a fiercely fought second series with Tomac and Dungey. Canard also finished second in the final standings ahead of Eli Tomac. With only two tests to go, it remains generally exciting in this 450 Class.

250 class
The Frenchman Christophe Pourcel has finally been able to make his mark. In the first heat he narrowly beat his compatriot Marvin Musquin and in the second heat he was only beaten by the leader in the standings Jeremy Martin. That immediately gave Pourcel his first victory of the season. It was not until 2010 that Christophe Pourcel was able to win another 250 National. Second place went to Jeremy Martin, who was able to gain some points over his closest pursuers in the race for the title. Marvin Musquin took the third podium place in Unadilla.
With only two tests to go, Jeremy Martin has a large lead of no less than 66 points over second man Blake Baggett. In all likelihood, Martin can secure the title next weekend in Indiana.
