Dungey and Musquin win National from Washougal
The ninth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship has been a complete success for the Red Bull KTM Factory team at Washougal Motocross Park. Ryan Dungey took the win in the 450 Class and Marvin Musqiun did the same in the 250 Class. The leaders in the standings Ken Roczen and Jeremy Martin each took third place on the final podium and therefore continue to lead the standings after nine races.
450 class
Ryan Dungey took a double series victory in Washougal, which was also good for his third overall victory this season. But what is more important is that he also reduces his deficit to leader Ken Roczen by ten points. The difference has now been reduced to fourteen points between the KTM boys. Ken Roczen did not get further than third place twice in Washougal. The Geico Honda rider Eli Tomac will certainly be the executioner in this duel. Tomac nestled among the KTM boys twice and could well play an important role in the further course of the championship.

With two series victories, French Red Bull KTM rider Marvin Musquin once again achieved great results in the Nationals. After missing the start of the Nationals due to a shoulder injury, the Frenchman is back after a short absence. In the first series he still had to keep his compatriot Christophe Pourcel behind him, but in the second series he was able to pass Justin Bogle just after half the race and thus drive to his second series victory. Second place went to Blake Baggett who recorded a fifth and second place finish. With this, Baggett made up two points on the leader in the standings Jeremy Martin, who finished third in Washougal. Martin still holds the lead and has a lead of 43 points over his teammate Cooper Webb and 54 over Blake Baggett.
