WMX: Meghan Kat Rutledge wins in Germany
In Teutschenthal, Germany we had the penultimate test of the WMX World Championship. It was the Australian Meghan Kat Rutledge who took the victory ahead of the Italian title defender Chaira Fontanesi. The French Livia Lancelot, who won the previous competition, finished third in the final standings.
The heats were won by Chaira Fontanesi and Meghan Kat Rutledge. The Dutch Nancy Van De Ven took sixth and fifth place in the heats and finished sixth in the final standings.
In the standings with only one match to go for the world title, it remains very exciting. Title defender Chaira Fontanesi and also leader in the standings has only a four-point lead over Meghan Kat Rutledge. Livia Lancelot is in third place and is 23 points behind.
