High Five for Jeffrey Herlings in Valkenswaard!!!
Jeffrey Herlings has won the Grand Prix in Valkenswaard for the fifth year in a row. Five GP victories out of one, but he has also completed ten series in total and also won at the Eurocircuit of Valkenswaard. Herlings immediately becomes the new leader in the world championship standings.
Jeffrey Herlings Part I!!!
It was Romain Febvre who took the holeshot ahead of Butron and Herlings. The biggest casualty after the start was the leader in the standings Arnaud Tonus who slipped in the second corner and was the last to leave. Herlings immediately took the lead from Febvre in the opening lap and Tixier quickly settled into third place. Behind this trio we saw a stiff battle with Guillod, Tonkov, Anstie, Seewer and Butron for fourth place. Herlings had now reached cruising speed and drove lap after lap further away from his competitors. For second place we did see a duel between Febvre and Tixier. With three laps to go, Tixier was in Febvre's wheel. But it was only on the very last lap that the decision for second place was made, in the very last corners Tixier was able to take over second place from Febvre. Herlings won this first series convincingly. Arnaud Tonus would eventually finish twelfth and was just able to stay out of the grasp of the oncoming Herlings. Among our compatriots, Julien Lieber put us in seventh place and Damon Graulus finished nineteenth after his fall at the start.

Jeffrey Herlings Part II!!!
Now it was Jordi Tixier who took the holeshot ahead of Febvre and Butron. But Jeffrey Herlings took the lead in the opening lap and the Herlings show could start again. His teammate Tixier was in second place until he made a mistake on the third lap and dropped to fifth place. In second place we now had Febvre with the Kawasaki boys Ferrandis and Tonus behind him. At the front, Herlings kept getting further and further ahead and so we had to look forward to second place. Here we did see a battle with Febvre, Ferrandis and Tonus. With three laps to go, the battle heated up for second place. Ultimately, Febvre had to give up Arnaud Tonus for second place in the very last corners before the finish. Jeffrey Herlings also easily won this second series ahead of Tonus, who still finished 45 seconds behind the new World Cup leader. Romain Febvre finished third and immediately second in the GP final standings. Our best compatriot was again Julien Lieber, who crashed on the first lap and still took tenth place. Damon Graulus rode a consistent series and still finished twelfth.
