Ryan Villopoto takes SX title in style…!!!
Ryan Villopoto has already won the title in the SX450 class with one supercross to go in Las Vegas. Villopoto did it with style and won the race at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, thereby immediately securing the 450 World Supercross 2014 title.
Four in a row…!!!
It was Ryan Villopoto's fourth title in a row in the SX450 (2011-2012-2013-2014). He also becomes the second rider in AMA Supercross history to win the title for four consecutive seasons. Only Supercross legend Jeremy MacGrath did it before him in the nineties, when MacGrath won his four titles in a row in 1993-1994-1995-1996.

Ryan Villopoto immediately grabbed the holeshot in East Rutherford and crossed the finish line as the great victor after twenty laps. “RV” immediately extended its title in style. Second place went to Rookie Eli Tomac and third was Suzuki rider Josh Hill on the podium. Justin Barcia just missed the podium ahead of the KTM tandem Roczen-Dungey. The biggest casualty in this Main Event was James Stewart who twisted his knee and rode towards the riders' park with a painful grimace.

After the earlier withdrawal of Adam Cianciarulo (shoulder injury), bad news emerged this week from the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki Team. Namely the leader in the standings Martin Davalos had broken his ankle during training, in addition to which the third man of the team Blake Baggett was also sidelined with an eye injury. This leaves Mitch Payton's entire team in ruins.
It was also the perfect opportunity for Justin Bogle to take full advantage of this unfortunate situation. Justin Bogle won the Main Event ahead of Jeremy Martin and Vince Friese. This gives Bogle a serious option for the title in the 250SX East Coast.
