Green flag #6 February 23
This weekend was the last dress rehearsal before the GP season starts next week in Qatar. The GP riders were divided between the races in Hawkstone Park and Lacapelle Marival.
In Hawkstone Park we got to see Jeffrey Herlings at work for the first time in a long time. As expected, Herlings won both races in the MX2 class and eventually also won the super final. Petar Petrov finished second in the MX2 final standings and Lars van Berkel third. Brent van Doninck finished 14th in the final standings after a DNF in the first moto and a seventh place in the final moto.
In the MX1 class the victory went to Shaun Simpson. Simpson beat Matiss Karro and Jens Getteman in the final standings! It was Tommy Searle who won the first moto ahead of Simpson and Karro. Searle retired in the second heat after a crash, leaving the victory to Simpson. There was a great performance from Jens Getteman, who finished third in the MX1 final standings with a sixth and fourth place in the series. Marc de Reuver finished sixth in the final standings, Yentel Martens ninth and Herjan Brakke 11th.
In the super final, Herlings won ahead of Karro and Van Berkel. Getteman finished fifth ahead of Waters and Krestinov. Brent van Doninck finished ninth and Yentel Martens crossed the finish line in 12th. Simpson, Searle and Petrov did not finish the race. Marc de Reuver did not start again due to a wrist injury he sustained in le Touquet.

The annual international competition took place in Lacapelle Marival. This was the first race for riders such as Desalle, Strijbos and Xavier Boog. Kevin Strijbos won the first round ahead of Desalle, Guarneri and Joel Roelants. In the second heat the victory went to Clement Desalle who stayed ahead of Steven Frossard, Sébastien Pourcel and Jordi Tixier. Kevin Strijbos made it difficult for teammate Clément Desalle for the victory in this second heat for a long time, but after a strange noise from the engine, 'The Kid' decided to play it safe and finished fifth. The third series was again a success for our Walloon friend Clément Desalle, Jordi Tixier finished second ahead of Marcus Schiffer. In the final score, Clément Desalle was also the first with a 2-1-1 ahead of Jordi Tixier and a very steadfast Davide Guarneri. Schiffer and Kullas completed the top five.
Also in France there was the SuperEnduro in Tours. In this last test before the World Cup, Taddy Blasuziak was able to become champion for the fifth consecutive time. It was Blasuziak himself who won the first final ahead of Bellino and Jonny Walker and thus secured the title. Walker in turn won the second final ahead of Blasuziak. In the last match, Blasuziak defeated Walker and Bellino and secured the overall victory in Tours.
