Gunther Ghysels about 2014
Gunther Ghysels remains with MC Mikkola and Kawasaki.
After a season mainly in France, Gunther Ghysels will again compete fully in the BMB competitions. These competitions will be supplemented with French competitions and some international competitions.
“2013 started dramatically due to a complex shoulder injury that kept me out of action for almost 3 months. At the beginning of the summer I dislocated my shoulder and at the end of August the season ended with a broken collarbone. Nevertheless, I was able to win a number of matches and despite my injuries I have a good feeling about 2013.
Normally, a mainly French program was again planned, but that agreement was canceled at the last minute. We were already quite late at that time and I was very pleased that I received a nice proposal from Kawasaki. The proposal was created through input from Kawasaki Benelux, motor shop Desmet and MC mikkola.
I will ride the entire BMB calendar, supplemented with French competitions and what remains with competitions in the amateur associations.
The intention was to ride 1-2 GPs as a reward for achieving the 110% rule during the British GP, but I have not yet received any further information about this, so we will have to wait and see what comes out of it.
I would like to thank MC mikkola for their flexibility and support, Kawasaki Benelux, motor shop Desmet, CKP, Tuinhuisjes Decock Ivo, Alias clothing, Lazer Helmen, Scott glasses, Monster energy, Barta suspension, FN printing, Silkolene, bve training, my parents, and supporters. ”
