Brent Vandoninck wins in Vlissingen
Last weekend the traditional beach cross was contested in Vlissingen and who else won than the Dutch “Sand King” Marc De Reuver?! The Dutch BT Motorsport Honda pilot, who is also aiming for Le Touquet in 2014, was very strong in both heats. With this he proved to be a size or two too big for the French beach cross specialist Adrien van Beveren and Nigel Widmann, who finished second and third respectively. The other French beach cross specialist Jean-Claude Mousse completed the overall top 5 together with our compatriot Axel Van de Sande.
In the MX2 class we got a Belgian victory with Brent Vandoninck. The Creymert Racing pilot finished second in the first round, but he had to leave that victory to Mark Boot. But in the second moto Mark Boot dropped out and our compatriot won. That was enough to stay ahead of Roy van Heugten and Jordi van de Wiele in the general standings!
Among the youngsters of the 85cc class, Tallon Verhelst kept up the Belgian honor by scoring a second place in the second series. Together with his seventh place in the first series, that was good for a fourth place overall. The victory in this category went to Bart Klijn ahead of Sem Van Ewijk and Stan Brons.
