WMX : Chiara Fontanesi takes her second world title!!!
The Italian Chiara Fontanesi has been able to extend her WMX title in Senkvice, Slovakia. This is already the second world title in a row for the Monster Energy Yamaha rider. Fontanesi won four of the six matches this season and was on the podium every time. Second place in the final standings of the World Cup goes to Australian Meghan Kat Rutledge and third is former world champion Stephanie Laier.
The victory in Senkvice went to Bud Racing Kawasaki rider Meghan Kat Rutledge. It was also her very first GP victory in the WMX for the Australian. Second place went to new world champion Chiara Fontanesi and third was German Stephanie Laier on the podium.
The best Dutch woman was Nina Klink, who just missed the podium with a fourth place. Nancy Van De Ven took ninth place. In the final standings of the World Cup, Van De Ven finished fifth and also the first Dutch.
