Stefan Everts for fun in La Chinelle!
None other Stefan Everts himself registered yesterday for the famous 12 hours of La Chinelle! The ten-time motocross world champion will be in action in Franchimont on August 10 and 11. Not to compete for victory, he emphasizes, but to relax and discover one of the most important enduro competitions in the world together with friends.
Everts will be at the start in the 12 hours together with Davy Vanderheyden (Wim's cousin) and Peter Geerts, two enthusiastic amateur enduro riders. The team that competes with number 35 would normally also field Marcel Dirks, but our MX World colleague was injured during the Red Bull Romaniacs. The Vanderheyden-Geerts-Everts trio does not have sporting ambitions, but for Stefan it is the perfect opportunity to get to know La Chinelle. And who knows, maybe we'll come back in 2014 and go all out for the win?
