KTM controls the Belgian Enduro market
About the size of the Belgian enduro market people sometimes talk in rough estimates. But how many enduro bikes are really sold? By FEBIAC we received the registration figures for the first half of 2013.
It will come as no surprise that the Belgian enduro market is controlled by KTM. The Austrian brand has teamed up with daughter Husaberg no fewer than 6 models are in the top 10. The top 10 gives a good picture of the 'recreational' enduro market. That's why models like the KTM EXC-F and the Husqvarna TE250. These competition models are usually registered during the last months of the year before so that they can also be trained in the winter.
That the most popular enduro motorcycle is the KTM EXC-F350 should not be surprising. This engine is an excellent compromise between power and handling. It is striking that two-stroke engines are still underrepresented in this top 10. Only the KTM EXC 200 and the Husaberg TE 300 and 250 made it into the top 10. Would the massive return of the two-stroke not be until tomorrow after all?
