JM Racing from KTM to Husky
The monkey is out of the bag, Jacky Martens and his “Wilvo Negaan JM Racing” team will compete on Husqvarnas next year. The former 500cc world champion confirmed this to our colleague Geoff Meyer from MXLarge.
It is no real surprise that Jacky Martens' team will become the official Husqvarna team in 2014. After all, Jacky Martens became world champion on a Husky in 1993 and previously ran the 500cc Husqvarna team with Daryll King and others. The Martens team has also been doing good work for KTM for years, and KTM and Husqvarna now have the same owner. It is therefore no wonder that Jacky Martens himself is entrusted to make Husqvarna the stately brand it once was.
The Wilvo Negaan JM Racing team has already secured one driver for next year and that is none other than Romain Febvre, this rising star will immediately know how to test the new Husqvarna. More information about Husqvarna's new set-up would follow in Sweden, but if we can believe the rumor, Ice One Racing would become the official MX1 Husqvarna team. So it will definitely be continued.
