Highlights World Enduro Portugal Championships
Last week the fourth GP of the Enduro World Championship was held in Portugal. We were shown some exciting tests in the beautiful Portuguese landscape north of Lisbon. In the E1 class, the victory on both days was French KTM rider Antoine Meo. Meo won ahead of the Finn Matti Seistola and the Frenchman Anthony Boissiere. Meo increases his lead in the World Cup and is now 34 points ahead of the Finn Matti Seistola and 35 points ahead of the Finn Juha Salminen.
In the E2 class, victory went to the Italian Alex Salvini, who won both days and preceded the Spaniard Ivan Cervantes and the Frenchman Pierre Alexandre Renet in the final standings. Our compatriots Cedric Cremer and Jean Francois Goblet finished 1th and 14th respectively on day 15. On day two things went a bit better and the Belgians finished 12th and 13th. Salvini leads the championship with 15 points ahead of Cervantes and 28 ahead of Renet.
Finally, in E3 the victory went to Frenchman Christophe Nambotin. The KTM rider won both days and preceded the Portuguese Louis Cerreia and the Estonian Aigar Leok in the final standings. In the standings, Nambotin has a large lead of 34 points over the Swede Joakim Ljunggren, who in turn is followed closely by Aigar Leok at 1 point.
