Tyler Bowers to Pro Circuit Kawasaki
Having just clinched his third consecutive arenacross title, Tyler Bowers has already signed to ride for Pro Circuit Kawasaki until the end of the supercross season. The intention is for Bowers to ride the remaining races of the 250 East coast, the same championship as that of Marvin Musquin. So there are three more games on the schedule for Tyler; Houston, Minneanapolis and the final in Las Vegas. The decision of Mitch Payton, team boss of Pro Circuit Kawasaki, is understandable. They are only fourth and eighth in the championship. In addition, Dean Wilson, who is still fourth, is injured for the rest of the supercross season.
Bowers has done well at AMA Supercrosses before. In 2008 he finished sixth in the championship, also achieving several top 5 places in a deep field including Ryan Villopoto. Since then he has always chosen to ride Arena cross for Kawasaki. In 2010 he also seemed well on his way to a title, but then he broke both legs. But in 2011 he came back stronger than ever and hasn't lost a single title since. Tyler has continued to ride Kawasaki the entire time and now knows the bike like the back of his hand.
Tyler also added: “It was overwhelming when I got that phone call. I definitely wanted to ride supercross after the Arenacross season, but nothing was concrete yet. My 250cc Kawasaki is in tip top condition through the Arenacross, but now it's time to take my setup to a new level. I am convinced that this will also be possible with the help of the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team and Mitch Payton.
