ONK Gemert: Mr. Maximum favorite for home game!
With eighteen – sorry – seventeen GPs on the agenda, there is little room to see your favorite at work nearby. On Sunday you get the chance to admire Jeffrey Herlings. The Dutchman was not fooled once until Sevlievo. He is currently “hot” in motocross land. The Dutch MX2 class is also prominently present in the World Championship with the emergence of Glenn Coldenhof (Standing Construct KTM). Jordi Tixier and Jake Nichols face an almost impossible task: beating Herlings on home soil. Kevin Fors (Kemea-Reytec) scored World Cup points on Sunday. Damon Graulus shone in Castelnau-de-Levis, while Brent Van Doninck and Jeffrey Dewulf are also on the MX2 start list.
Evgeny Bobryshev leads the ONK MX1 rankings. It is not certain whether the Russian will be present in Gemert due to an injury. This increases Marc de Reuver's chance of finishing high on the podium in Gemert. A number of Belgians are taking a shot at the podium, such as Nick Triest and Marvin Van Daele, who made a name for themselves at VLM on Sunday. Kristof Salaets, Jens Poppe, Jurgen Van Nooten and Yentel Martens are also heading to the Wolfsbosch.
There are a handful of Belgians in the 85 and 125 cc class, but Jonass Pauls (BK leader) and Conrad Mewse also attract attention. Gemert brings 8 high-level matches. Quite worthwhile to penetrate 70 km into the Netherlands.
