5 out of 5 for Herlings in Sevlievo
Who else than Jeffrey Herlings has won the fifth GP of the season in Sevlievo. This time, Herlings was always there at the start and easily rode to his fifth consecutive double victory this season. He was flanked on the podium by a strong Jordi Tixier and Allesandro Lupino, who took the podium for the first time in his career.
In the first heat it was Tixier who became the first leader after a holeshot by Jimmy Decotis. Herlings quickly followed suit and took the lead from his teammate on the seventh lap. Herlings rode away easily and won ahead of Tixier and a surprising Valentin Teillet, who made his return after a shoulder injury.
In the second heat, Herlings came first after just one lap. He was never threatened and rode to victory. Tixier stayed in second place for the entire race and Lupino finished third after a hard duel with Anstie. Glenn Coldenhoff finished seventh in the final standings today in Sevlievo and Kevin Fors, who made his return after an injury, finished 1st with 21 points.
Herlings remains authoritarian leader with the maximum of points. He is followed by Tixier who has 185 points and the Dutchman Glenn Coldenhoff with 157 points.
