The new king has arrived in Chemnitz
After two days of fantastic competitions, the final conclusion is that Tyler Bowers is the new “King of Chemnitz”. The AMA Arenacross champion managed to win the final yesterday and Friday ahead of the current leader of the ADAC SX Championship, the Frenchman Florient Richier and Joaquim Rodrigues.
Today we had another fantastic duel in the final between yesterday's winner Tyler Bowers and home pilot Dennis Ullrich. Ullrich, known for his fast starts, now managed to take the holeshot again and held off a sitting Bowers throughout the race. A few times we saw Bowers briefly take the lead, but this was always aggressively countered by Ullrich, who got the German crowd on the benches and completely in ecstasy. After these two boys who started running with all the attention, Florient Richier finished in third place.
Among the 250cc pilots we saw Borris Maillard dominate with four wins from four starts. This makes the Frenchman rightly the new Prince of Chemnitz. There was beautiful stuff from the 85cc or SX3 class Belgian news with Nolan Cordens en Spring Kooji. These young gentlemen showed that they are not afraid of a bit of supercross and that resulted in a victory of the day for both. Jarni Kooji won on Friday and Nolan Cordens on Saturday. Their other day result was a 3rd place for both youngsters.
