Soubeyras new king in Munich
Both Friday and Saturday evening there was a battle in Munich for the titles of king (SX1) and prince (SX2). Cedric Soubeyras was the big favorite for the title of king and the Frenchman lived up to that role beautifully with two victories in as many finals. In Friday's final, “Souby” beat Weston Peick and Florent Richier, but on Saturday he was too fast for Filip Neugebauer and Florent Richier again.
In the ADAC SX1 rankings, Florent Richier is now comfortably in the lead with 113 points. His first opponent, Tyler Bowers, has 87 and Dennis Ullrich, who occupies third place, has a total of 72 ranking points. You can view the complete position are viewed here.
For the title of prince we saw a duel between Boris Maillard and Jake Canada and the latter came out on top with 88 points (4-1-1-1) compared to the 81 points (1-2-2-3) that Boris Maillard totaled. After Stuttgart, this is the second Prince title for Jake Canada in the ADAC SX 2012-2013 season.
In the SX2 rankings, Boris Maillard is a street length ahead with 261 points compared to Jake Canada's 188 points. This is due to the 4 zero scores that Canada recorded in the SX of Chemnitz. Mathematically everything is still possible with 100 points still to be earned, but it does not look like the French youngster will let this title slip away. The entire standings of the SX2 class are possible you can view here.
