World champion Herlings starts 4 times in Harfsen!!!
Harfsen will again host the motocross world summit on Sunday, October 21. The absolute crowd puller is MX2 world champion Jeffrey Herlings. It is very special that the 18-year-old Brabander will start at 't Peppelenbos in both the MX1 and MX2. For example, 'the fastest man in the world on the sand' can be seen in action for no less than four rounds during the ONK final in Harfsen.
MX1: Herjan Brakke vs. the GP giants
The biggest contender for the day's win in the premier class is undeniably Jeffrey Herlings on his 450cc KTM. The title battle is still completely open with GP factory riders Evgeny Bobryshev as contenders, together with reigning champion Herjan Brakke. De Staphorster is only 5 points behind leader Bobryshev. So fireworks are assured. Marc de Reuver is also expected at the front. De Reuver successfully switched to the team of Formula 1 driver Kimi Raikkonen this GP season, but is now back at KTM.
MX2: Good-old Erik Eggens vice champion?
The Dutch title has already been awarded to world champion Jeffrey Herlings and he will undoubtedly show why in Harfsen. The battle for places 2 and 3 is still completely open. Good-old Erik Eggens and the British Jake Nicholls will compete for the vice championship. Another dangerous outsider for the top five is Jeremy van Horebeek (3rd in the World Cup).
125cc: Who will take the first title?
In this new class there is a fierce battle between upcoming talents. Three drivers are still eligible for the title: leader Jaap Corneth, followed on 3 points by Jeffrey Ebbers, who in turn feels Joel van Mechelen's breath on his neck. Van Mechelen is theoretically even in the battle for the title.
85cc: Battle between young giants
The KNMV youth program is starting to bear fruit. The level in this class is very high with participants from all countries in Europe. Two young talents stand out: KTM factory rider Davy Pootjes is the leader in the standings. The European champion and number three of the World Cup starts in Harfsen with a 1 point margin over his competitor Bas Vaessen, the winner of the prestigious ADAC championship. The British Conrad Mewse is third and is also competing for the title, 23 points behind.
ONK Harfsen: not just motocross
ONK Motocross in Harfsen is not just motocross, but a spectacle for the whole family. The Harfsen Motorsport Foundation has once again put together a major side program. In the party tent Bennie Jolink, Gijs Jolink and Hendrik Jan Lovink play with De Motorband. The kids can again ride motorcross for free and there are many free attractions.
