Podium talk British MX1 GP
Antonio Cairolli was unapproachable Great Britain. The Red Bull KTMdriver won Matterley Basin his fourth consecutive GP and is on his way to his fourth MX1 title. Cairoli was flanked on stage by Max nagl en Gautier Paulin. The German scored his first podium of the season and seems on his way to a strong end to the season. For Paulin it seemed as if he had found his early season form again. Below you can read what the stagegoers had to say after the British MX1 GP.
Winner: Antonio Cairoli – Red Bull KTM (1-1)
"I love racing in England. I have a lot of fans here and they scream like crazy all the time. Of course that means I like coming here. They also know perfectly how to prepare a circuit. These circuits are also fun to drive. Unbelievable that this is already my 51e GP victory and I am very satisfied with that."
Second: Max Nagl – Red Bull KTM (2-2)
"I liked the circuit because there were a lot of deep ruts. And it is precisely these types of circuits that I prefer."
Third: Gautier Paulin – Kawasaki Racing (3-4)
"It's nice to be back on the podium. I want these 3e dedicate a place to my team that has always stood behind me. Even when we could not achieve the expected results. My last podium dates from the Portuguese GP and that was a long time ago. We had difficult GPs but we were still able to find solutions. Even though it is not easy to improve again during the season. Now I'm having fun on the motorcycle again. A few good starts helped me reach this podium. This circuit was almost perfect. It was also fun to ride on the same circuit as the 'kids' of the various European Championship classes."
