MCLB Volkegem provides a beautiful spectacle!
Many guest riders, including Manuel Priem, Mike Gilot, Maarten Govaert and the Nys brothers, came to this 1.559 m long hilly circuit on the Volkegemberg. We also got a spectacle from the first passage.
Janvier provides a surprise!
None other than Steve Seronval was the first to come through the bend, followed by a good start from Filip Seymortier, Yerki Janvier, but Jurgen Wybo, Torpjurn Van Hoe and Mike Gilot were also at the front. The unapproachable Seronval fell in the first round! Wybo took the lead ahead of Janvier, Van Hoe, Priem and… Steve 'Rocket' Seronval reassembled in search of the top three. Dennis van Hul also crashed.
Six laps into the race, Wybo was still in the lead. He was followed closely by Janvier and yes, an approaching Steve Seronval who came through in fourth place ahead of Manuel Priem! In the penultimate lap, Wybo, in turn, made a slide, causing Janvier to eagerly take the lead and never relinquish it. Honda rider Seronval had already placed third ahead of Priem, Van Hoe and Gilot.
Arrival of the first series: 1. Janvier, 2. Wybo, 3. Seronval, 4. Priem, 5. Gilot
Second round again 'Steve Rocket' who got out of the starting blocks fastest ahead of Janvier, Wybo, Ricky Nys, Gilot and Priem. Seronval had no intention of giving up his leadership position and left again. Wybo and Priem fought out a good duel for second place with great enthusiasm. Halfway through the race, Ricky Nys hit the tires near the chicane, and then had to abandon his race due to mechanical failure. Wybo also experienced problems and once again Janvier managed to take advantage of that!
Arrival Heat 2: 1. Seronval, 2. Priem, 3. Janvier, 4. Wybo, 5. Gilot
Final score: 1. Seronval, 2. January, 3. Priem
Inters B-Open: 1. Bram Descamps, 2. Filip Seymortier, 3. Olivier Van De Walle
