Jeffrey Dewulf replaces Kevin Fors in Lierop
Due to his leg injury, Kevin Fors will not be able to participate in the Dutch GP in Lierop this weekend. Fors will be replaced by Jeffrey Dewulf for this GP. The 21-year-old West Flemish, who made a strong impression during the Belgian Championship test at the Keiheuvel, will make his GP debut in Lierop.
Marnicq Bervoets: 'Jeffrey made a very strong impression in the sand in Balen. Because we had a motorcycle in reserve for Lierop due to Kevin's forfeit, our paths crossed at the right time. For a rider like Jeffrey, this is an ideal opportunity to gain experience and put himself in the spotlight. In this way, the Kemea Reytec team will still start with two riders, so it is a good solution for both parties.'
Jeffrey Dewulf: ' I'm really happy to be able to participate in the GP this weekend with the Kemea Reytec Yamaha team. I was planning to participate in Lierop anyway, but under the team tent it will be a little easier for me. It's hard to say what to expect from the match itself. The only references I have are the GP riders who participate in the Belgian Championship. During the Belgian Championships in Mol I was able to mix well with these riders... I especially hope to gain experience and finish both heats. Scoring a few points should be possible, and provided a good start there might be a top 15. In any case, I'm going to make the best of it and give it 100%, because it's certainly not going to be easy. I would like to thank everyone who made this possible!'
