Nice ending International Youth Weekend
Everything fell into place in Boekel on Sunday during the second day of the International Youth Weekend in Boekel. European youth could enjoy themselves under normal circumstances. There were still some surprises to note.
Nathan Watson won both series for the MX2 Youth. On Saturday Nathan competed with his brother Ben in the Dealercup where they finished third. Exciting ending also in the 85 cc GW class, where Conrad Mewse won. Davy Pootjes counted the same number of points. It was striking that third place went to Nancy Van De Ven. The man on the Bezuidenhout was Freek Van Der Vlist with four out of four. Our compatriot Jago Geerts won in the 85 cc KW class. Cyril Genot eventually finished fourth after missing the opening series. The complete results can be found at http://www.mylaps.com
Wet start for IMBA Youth Weekend in Boekel.
There was exactly one rain shower over Boekel on Saturday. Unfortunately, it lasted from the morning until about 19.00 p.m. The organization, a joint venture between the jubilant MC Boekel and Jointforces Projects (remember that name), had its affairs well organized. Fortunately, the course remained in tip top condition for the smallest classes, who were able to compete at a normal level. An overview of the day's winners: Kay De Wolf (50 mini), Damian Wiarda (quads standard), Gino Bleekemolen (quad special), Luca Milec Starse (65 KW), Loeka Thonies (65 GW), Roan Van De Moosdijk (85 KW ),Davy Pootjes (85 GW), Marcus Lee Soper (MX2 Youth) and Freek Van Der Vlist (MX2 Youth 2-stroke). Vincent Genot won the coaching competition for the Veterans. Some fellow countrymen rode into the spotlight, including Nathan Renkens and Jago Geerts. Cyril Genot dropped out in the first heat.
