Everts not impressed after difficult Swedish GP
The mighty Red Bull KTMfactory team had a difficult day in Uddevalla on Sunday. That's how it fell Jeremy Van Horebeek in the 1e finished the game and forfeited Jeffrey herlings during the 2e game valuable points. But the real blow came in the MX1 Tony Cairoli his lead of 47 points over Desalle turned into a deficit of 3 points. After a difficult football match, the coach must always answer the questions. In motocross it is about the team manager and in this case his name is Stefan Everts.
Everts initially remained philosophical about Sunday's events. “It was a day when everything went wrong. But on the other hand, we have put on so many good matches in recent years that something like this had to happen sooner or later” said the Red Bull KTM team manager.
We expected that KTM does not intend to hang its head. “I think we still have a strong team. A team that will certainly want to fight back” said one belligerent Everts.
Also the tragedy around Tony Cairoli who recorded a double DNF for the first time in his GP career Everts don't get off track. “ Tony lost the red leader plate here today, but we all know his capabilities. Moreover, he remains calm about it.”
Moreover, the title battle is now completely open again, something the fans can only be happy about. “It will only make the MX1 World Championship more interesting” predicted Everts.
The loss of points Jeffrey herlings gave birth Everts no worries either. “We also had bad luck in the MX2 class but in two weeks there is the Latvian GP. The season is long and I don't think we have lost anything yet in the championships” decided Everts.
