The Kid blows away competition in Desertmartin!
Kevin Strijbos tolerated no opposition during the 5th round of the Maxxis British Championship! Three holeshots, three times in the lead from start to finish, to do better than what The Kid did in Northern Ireland is impossible. Local hero Martin Barr came second ahead of Matiss Karro. Kevin also did an excellent job in the championship, he now leads by 5 points over Karro. For Belgian champion Shaun Simpson it was a day to quickly forget. He finished third and fourth. In the last race he seemed to be on his way to his best result of the day when his chain broke and he had to retire.
In the MX2, Strijbos' teammate Elliot Banks-Browne and Mel Pocock (Monster Energy-Yamaha Dixon) finished on equal points at the top. Pocock's victory in the final series gave him the overall victory. Former European champion Steven Lenoir finished third in MX2.
